Vadim Chubarov told about the forthcoming consolidation of two International Forums: Intellectual Property – the 21st Century and Expopriority. This decision was taken by the management of the RF CCI and Expocentre ZAO. The consolidation will go through several stages and will be finished in 2015. The result of this merger will be a large-scale multi-format event comprising thematic and exhibition programmes. "The Intellectual Property - the 21st Century International Forum will be the largest event in IP sphere in Russia", Vadim Chubarov said. The main task set for the first stage of consolidation is to broaden the state participation in the Forum, and it is being solved to some extent.
This year the Forum comprises 19 different events including two major conferences. One of them is youth research and training conference on Regional Programmes in IP Sphere as Viewed by the Youth held by the Council of the Federation. Sergey Naryshkin, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly, took individual control over organization of the Forum. The participants in the event will be the Russian Parliament deputies, representatives of the committees tackling IP issues.
Ivan Bliznets is sure the Forum will get a new boost with the support at the highest national level. The Forum has already gained support both from the Council of the Federation of the Russian Federal Assembly and the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly; the Chamber of Commerce and Industry expects to expand cooperation. On the other hand, Ivan Bliznets thinks the consolidation of the international forums Intellectual Property – the 21st Century and Expopriority will make both events more important on regional level. It is possible that in 2015 the event's platform and features will be changed.
